My High School Experience

I am incredibly grateful for choosing to attend John Muir High School. I have shared amazing experiences, and learned so many lessons, through collaboration and critical thinking in the classroom, sharing creative experiences, competing on the diamond, and spending time outside of school, hanging out with friends. high school has given me the opportunity to learn about people, and dig deeper into finding myself.

ADHD Struggle

Diagnosed with ADHD in 7th grade, ongoing battle throughout high school
Medication initially caused anxiety, social deficits, and eating problems
Struggled with isolation, loss of confidence, and lack of motivation
Despite challenges, triumphed over ADHD, emerged successful, happy, and defined by resilience and creativity
How I overcame the challenge: My battle with ADHD will continue to prevail, but I plan to emerge successful through social interaction, a positive outlook, and finding healthy outlets to use my ADHD as a tool and superpower to flourish and succeed. My battle has made me the strongest person I can be.

Memorable Moments

Formed enduring friendships in the bandroom and on the baseball field
Marching band community cultivated creativity and collaboration, with the John Muir drumline bonding over shared passion and experimentation
Baseball team rallied around a collective aspiration for leadership and excellence, forging lasting bonds through shared values and goals
I Learned how to be a leader in athletics, and a collaborator in the Arts.

Plans after High School...

-High school taught me how to be creative, and collaborative with other people

-Athletics, as well as music helped me with having a healthy mind and body, as well as being a collaborator. making muisc allowed me to be a creative and innovative thinker.

-I plan to hopefully attend a 4 year university to play baseball, and play music, I hope to meet as many people as I can, and travel to as many places as I can.

-I hope I can lead the most productive and fulfilling life possible, where I am able to make an impact on others.
